if you have standard injectors .you use an ohmmeter. to test for the ohm resistance
Yes, or the fuel pump could be defective.
if your talking about the service engine lite in the dash comes on service the engine take your van to your local auto zone to get it tested for free it will give you a starting point . if the van is running rough start with a tune up . if it is running fine more than likely it is a vacuum hose check all of them closely .my 1999 was running rough i replaced plugs , wires , cap , rotor and injectors only to find out it was a bad distributor good luck .p.s. to the last person to answer if you are not going to try and help don't bother typing you are the reason i stopped leaving my email on this site.
The blower resistor is internally shorted to power and needs to be replaced.

A 1995 Chevy Astro Van is rated at 210 degrees Fahrenheit avg temperature when at normal engine operation. Other years close to this year are the same.
need more info, engine-details- have you checked vacuum with gauge? etc.
Should be about 60psi running, should hold more than 50 with the engine off.
That happened to me once on a 1999 Astro Van... I had the battery replaced and the terminals were left loose. One day I started the engine just fine and when drove for about 10 feet the van just died. No electrical functions at all. Checked the cables sure enough they were loose. Never happened again.
We have a 1988 Astro, and have been running into the same problem. As it turns out, the freeze plugs are being eroded from the inside, and have to be removed and replaced. Out mechanic says he's nervous that the engine block itself may have the same thing happening to it, so he's pretty careful when he changes the things. So far we've only replace the plugs as the problem occurs, and not pulled all of them for replacement.

Yes, both injectors must work. If one isn't look for a broken wire or clog.
You'll need to replace the stuck injector.
