Try you ignition switch my 1998 accord done the same thing and that fixed it
i had that problem with mine. the problem was an intake vaccuum leak. the engine wasnt getting enough air sucked in at idle and stalling out.
Had the same trouble, I changed the elect control module, not a problem to this day.
Idle Air control valve
Sometimes when you convert an astra to lpg they change the spark plugs to single element. If the garage has put standard vauxall twin element plugs in your car it may cause the problem you have described.
Sounds like a problem in the electrical/charging system. Alternater?
i'll give you several answers . you could have water in your gas, you may need to replace your air filter, fuel filter, you may have a bad spark plug or spark plug wires, your timing could be off. i I have a 1998 Taurus and I had a stalling problem - took to shop and for about $27 he changed my hoses that was my problem, hole in hose and cracks from age of hoses.
Stalling can be dangerous because it can make it difficult to move out of the way of oncoming traffic. If possible, do not stall.
im having the same problem. im told it can be the main relay? distrubitor? and or a bad groud... is it a 5 speed? when im driving my rpms are all over the place. and then sometimes it shuts off? does this sound fimiliar?
If it's stalling while driving, it could be the problem with either the crankshaft positioning sensor or mass air flow sensor. Check to see if you have a check engine light on. If so, you need to retrieve the code from auto parts store. Only then you will be able to find out the actual problem.
There are two main systems that may be responsible for stalling. It may be a problem with the electrical system or the fuel system. A third option is the battery.
Spark plugs need to be changed. had the same problem and it disappeared when I replaced the plugs.
IF... the crank sensor was the problem then it might. However, it is unlikely. I agree, although they are known to crack, It usually results in a no start condition from what I have seen.
