1. First check and make sure that you have both power and ground going to the a/c clutch.
2. Then check the low pressure switch that is located on the accumulator...............
The pressure in the can of coolant you are adding is usually enough to start the compressor howerver you must have the air conditionig switched on in the vehicle.
A lot of cars won't let the compressor kick on unless it has enough refridgerant. Try recharging the compressor all the way and if it still don't work, you might need a new compressor.
If it gets cold enough the coolant will freeze and crack the block if there is no antifreeze.
You probably need a new air filter for your a/c The clicking is probably caused by the clutch on the compressor. If the Ac isn't charged enough it could cause this to kick the compressor off and on. You compressor could also be bad. You werent real clear what the problem was. Hope this helps.
Not enough info. Please ask a new question with year, make, model, and a desrciption of the problem.
I have the same van It is perfect, but I think the problem that makes it overheat is either not enough coolant or a clog in the coolant tubes. Take it to a mechanic and sask them to check that out for you.
not enough collant . water valve in heater hose could not be shutting off and letting hot water flow through the heater core. compressor not staying engaged.
When the low coolant warning light comes on and the car has enough coolant, it usually means there is a problem with the coolant level sensor system. The sensor may need to be replaced.
Air conditioning compressor? air ride compressor? question not clear enough.
It can be many things. Check to see it the compressor clutch is plugged in or the connections are corroded or loose. If this is ok, then take it to a professional. Check your relays dun dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuunnnn... these badboys don't kick on if they don't have enough charge its true.. check that....
A portable air compressor would be one small enough to carry or has wheels on it so it can be rolled where you need it , a stationary compressor stays where it is installed
There is a pressure swithch in the line that keep the compressor from running if there is not enough Freon in the system. You wouldn't have any power at the compressor if you are low.
