I've had the same problem. mine was fixed with a couple different steps. 1. Take to Ford dealership have them change out fuel pump for free under recall. 2. change the fuel filter myself. 3. change out PCV hose and PCV valve. 4. clean throttle body. 5. use electronic cleaner to clean out MAF sensor. 6. change air filter. This made a huge difference in my car and hopefully helps you
