check your plug wires to see if one is grounding out usually rubbed out or arking on a spark plug look for a plug with a black line on it
It means that more than one cylinder has a misfire history. PO301 would be cylinder number 1 misfire. PO302 would be number 3 cylinder misfire.

2002 Mazda tribute, what is cylinder misfire My #5 cylinder has a misfire. Battery light also flickers according to idle. So far not alternator. Alternator and battery was replaced maybe 2 years ago.
A cylinder misfire is condition where one or more of the cylinders is not burning the fuel at the proper time it should. It can be caused by a defective spark plug or plug wire. It can also be caused by a defective fuel injector, blown head gasket, or in rare cases a burnt valve.
