The reset button is located on the drivers side fuse panel. I believe that you turn the ignition on but don't start, push button til light blinks then push again and it will make a chime sound and light should go off.
Turn ignition to ON position. Press brake pedal all the way down for about 3-5 seconds. Then pump gas pedal 3 times quickly. Start the car. Oil change light should go off. Works for 2002 Grand Am.
There are noises and lights that tell a driver there is something wrong with a car. The chiming when the door is shut and the key is removed, usually indicates that a light may be on.
The airbag light stays on when the computer has detected a malfunction and set a code. The failure will need to be repaired before the light will shut off.
remove positive battery cable wait about 20 seconds after you change oil it should go out If this is the same as my 2002 GT, the Change Oil Soon light goes out when you turn the key on but not start the car and pump the gas pedal three times within 7 seconds, the light will flash after about three seconds, wait for that and then shut the key back off. Now, start the car and the light should go out.
Key on and shut the doors. Press "step" until "0 miles to service" is displayed. Now press and hold "reset" until the mileage resets.
Key on, doors shut, press "step" until 0 miles to service is displayed, press and hold "reset" until mileage resets.
The only way to "shut off" the spees limiter is to get it tuned by someone that has a tuner. Go to www.OQCGP.net there is someone there that can help you.
You should be able to pull out the fuse panel (open your driver's door and look at the side of your dash). In it, you should see a reset button. Press it.
