The meaning of a dashboard warning light on an Oldsmobile Intrigue could be a variety of things. There are different lights for different things for different years of that model. It could be a service engine, check oil, sensor check, or more. The owners manual should have a listing of warning lights included in it.
Auto Zone will read your engine lights codes for FREE.

The 'Service Vehicle Soon' light is simply a safety item to tell you something is wrong, even if it's not engine or emissions related.
Are the lights in the dash coming on, and it just won't crank or are there no lights at all? If the lights are coming on you need an ignition switch.
