Diagnosis: Engine Won't Start or RunCheck related link below
The starter on a car requires a lot of electrical current to rotate the engine fast enough for it to start. When the car's battery doesn't have enough electricity to do this a battery from another car or another source of electrical current can be supplied (jumpered) to the car to "jump start" it.
First check battery connections and make sure they are clean and secure. Second check battery out put with a battery tester/ volt meter. Third, if you have power when you turn ignition switch on and nothing happens when you try to start then roll start or use another vehicle to pull start. If it starts then you have a dead spot on the starter and will need to replace. If you are saying a no start condition meaning the engine turns over at a good speed and will not start then you have a faulty engine speed sensor.
I had a similar problem turns out the Alternator was bad.
Get a jump start from somebody else, and then figure out what it was you left turned on or plugged in to drain your battery. If it happens again, replace the battery. By the way, this is why you should belong to AAA or another road-service club.
battery
The car will then be unable to start.
