anytime the window goes in either direction but will not go in the opposite direction, You know the motor is good,,,,, Now you need to know what is WRONG,It is most likely one of two things, The MOST likely is A bad switch, The second thing it might be is A damaged track inside the door, You can check this easy, Just try to go up with the glass if it does anything at all, you know the switch is working, So you need to check the track,,,,,, Another thing it could be is A bad wire on the power supply for the not working direction, BUT this is not likely unless you have A RAT! Good luck, Jamison.
A blown fuse could be the reason the window will not go down on your 1988 Chevy Blazer. Another possibility is that the switch is worn out or has a loose, broken, or corroded wire.
The windows on a Chevy Blazer may not roll down if the power window mechanism has been damaged or broken. This can be repaired through a reputable mechanic.

You need to replace the power window regulator. Go to 1aauto.com and search for the video showing you how to do this.
If the window is stuck in the down position on a Chevy Silverado, the door panel will have to come off to access the cable mechanism and fix the window. If the windows are electric, there will also be the wiring assembly for the window to remove.
