The transmission on a 2002 Hyundai will have a drain bolt located underneath it. Loosen the bolt and drain the old fluid into a pan. Once done use Hyundai recommended transmission fluid and pour it in.
It does not have a drain plug. The pan is removed to drain the fluid.

If it is a auto trans and there is no drain plug, you have to drop the pan, and change the filter and gasket while you at it. If it is a manual, there is a plug on the lower passenger side of the transmission body. pull it and the fluid will drain.
You can't the transmission on the 2002 Thunderbird is sealed. There is no distick or any way to add fluid other than through the ports on the transmission under the car. The dealer has to do that. If you just use the drain plug to drain the fluid, it will only take about 3 to 3.5 qts to refill.

This question was asked and answered less than a week ago. Answer is that depends on why you are asking. Drain with drain plug and refill on a Forester takes about 4 quarts. Fresh fill from a rebuild takes a lot more because the torque converter does not drain when you remove the fluid using the drain plug. Do change your fluid at least once a year for longest transmission life. --Ken
