P0130 is O2 sensor circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 1) and P0171 is system too lean (bank 1) There are several things that could cause these error codes. Best thing would be to have a professional who can look at the vehicle, put it on a lift, and determine the likely cause. There are so many potential causes that would be obvious to someone who can see the car. If it were my car, and I was determined to fix it myself, I would start by replacing the front oxygen sensor, assuming that it has not been replaced recently. BTW, I believe that your car is an Impreza? --Ken

No, thanks. Done it, didn't enjoy it.
2006 was a very strong year for Subaru thanks to the 2006 Subaru Forester (selling on average $15,000 per car) as well as the 2006 Subaru Outback. Other cars, though not as well selling, in the year 2006 include the Subaru 2006 Impreza and the Legacy vehicle as well.

I need Dexron III in my Subaru Forester, but I don't need any right now, thanks. Your owner's manual will tell you what to use in yours.
