Engine seized? Loose or corroded battery cables? Bad starter solenoid? Bad starter? Bad neutral safety switch? Bad resistor or reader (if so equipped) at ignition?
If it has the same orientation of the battery posts and will fit the holder then it will work.
Sounds like the battery went dead or you have loose/dirty battery connections.

Open the hood, and its right there behind the left headlight.
Disconnect the neg battery cable for 10 mins.
it indicates that the alternator is not functioning sufficiently to keep the battery charged.
if its a new battery then you need to replace your alternator. It basically recharges your battery while the vehicle is running.
Your battery is dead.
alternator could have gone out running the battery dead.
Use an OBD scan tool to reset or disconnect the battery
