Perhaps timing chain has jumped,
Worn cam lobes,
Firing order mixed up,
Accelerator pump failure (carburetor),
Faulty distributor cap,
Its fuel injected doesnt have a carb.
I had one do that and it was caused by a bad intake valve.
spark plug gap, gas/air mixture on carb.
timing or carb
Check your timing and your vacuum advance.
sounds like you are ready for anew carb.,go to webber carb. direct and order a webber 32/36 carb. u will be a happy Nissan man.
you did't specify if it is carburetor or fuel injection.if the backfire is out the exhaust or through the intake. if out the exaust it is usually ignition and if it is through the intake/carb or the plenum/fuel injected it usually is a lean or fuel starvation...
timing problem or crossed plug wire or even possibly a burnt valve.
it is the carb. my uncles did the same thing. you need to have them cleaned and have them put in sync
car has jumped it/s timing.retart timing approx 5 degrees,it should start.
possible need carb rebuild, or a flat cam lobe . Could be timing or bad timing chain.
the 327 Chevy was buiit with anywhere from 210 hp with a 2 bbl carb to 375hp with fuel injection and everywhere in between.
