if the light panels in a 1981 Corvette no longer go up and down, look for a burned out fuse. This is an electronic part that is controlled by a fuse. They also have a small motor that might need to be replaced.

you have a blown fuse, look in your owners manual and it will show you the fuses location.
The head lights go up and down by vaccum canisters. If the canisters go bad on the down side then they will go up but wont go donw. If you look up front in front of the radiator you will see to goldish round canisters those are what goes bad. RJ Sottile www.hobbycarcorvettes.net
