when you changed the soleniod, make sure you get the wires back in the right spot. the soleniod has 2 studs sticking out on it, but it should only have 1 wire that hooks up to it. if you got it back on the wrong post, it wont turn over
Voltage Regulator?
Voltage regulator is defective. Have it replaced or this will ruin your battery.
Highly unlikely.
Voltage regulator or loose wire.
a soleniod is just one item in a schematic its like a big relay if it needs to be replace its like 8 bucks, if you want the schematic for the whole starter system its basically battery+ to soleniod to starter to battery-
Bad alternator not charging battery? Bad voltage regulator? Blown fusable link?
does the kia have a remote voltage regulator
Most likely the problem is your alternator....the battery light actually does not monitor battery condition, only the charging system. I'd check the voltage regulator and the fuses first. The fuses are the cheapest fix and the voltage regulator will run about 25% less than an alternator.
i had smilar issue with my 99 mitsu mirage, changed alt, and battery, and still had problems, turned out to be the voltage regulator. To test use a voltmeter and if the reading is below 13 on a new battery and is fluctuating then it should be the volatge regulator Try changing the belt i just had the same thing happen to my 03 rs i change both belts and then everything turned out fine after that
how will I know my Voltage regulator is bad. I have replaced the starter and had the battery and alternator checked they are good. My car will start when it is colder outside but as the day gets hotter it will not start.. Can you help
The battery regulator is faulty or the battery has internal damage. Continuing to use a faulty regulator can quickly cause battery damage.
The PCM is also the regulator, it is next to the battery. The PCM is also the regulator, it is next to the battery.
