You say the fuel pump works but does it pump the required pressure of 41 to 47 psi? You may want to have a pressure test done.
it has a throtle body fuel injected
were the fuel line comes out of the tank running to the throtle body
Throttle body needs to be replaced
You may need to check the path of gas from the tank to the carb. It could be a faulty fuel pump, a clogged fuel filter.
Yes it is. 1988 and above should all be fuel injection. The 1988 is a throtle body setup. Somewhat looks like a carb. Yes it is. 1988 and above should all be fuel injection. The 1988 is a throtle body setup. Somewhat looks like a carb.
You have no fuel pressure. Need to run fuel pressure test with a gauge. Pressure should be 55 to 62 LBS PSI. If less then 55 PSI then it will not start, must be 55 or more.
load weapon of choice...aim at forehead..pull trigger.....FILL IT WITH GAS DUMMY you MAY have damaged the fuel pump if you have done this more than a few times, try to use starting spray in the throtle body by removing the rubber at the throtle body
Port Fuel Injection, meaning fuel injrctor sprays into the port of the intake manifold. The other type is TBI, throtle body injection. This type uses a central injector (or 2 injectors) that spay onto the throtle body butterfly. PFI is the better injection of the two
Plugged fuel filter.
The fuel pump will prime the Throtle body when you turn the key on. Do not dump gas down the hole unless you like fire and replacing wires.
replace the fuel filter and the accelerator cable to the throtle body
it is on the top of the engine right by the fuel rail on the right side of the car right next to the throtle body
