You could try sanding the clear coat off where it is pealing then re-coat with new seal coat, I am not sure just how well that would work.
Of course the best thing would be to take it to a paint shop and have it professionally repainted. I can tell you from experience that if you do nothing the paint under the seal coat will deteriorate to primer and it will rust through that.
Yes, it sure will. First off it will remove any wax on the paint. It will also damage the top coat which will lead to fading and eventually pealing of the paint. Never use bleach on an auto finish.
take the car to the dealer and demand a new paint job, this is due to lack of a good clear coat during the painting of the car.
NO colour can be clear. If something is CLEAR that means it has no colour.
you have to remove the clear coating
Better get Maaco.
If sand it you will sand all of the paint of not just the clear part.
In order to stop the paint from peeling on your Chevy, you will have to sand down the affected area, and then paint over it with a new coat. If your 1982 Chevy pickup is peeling off, then it has been repainted. There is nothing you can do except to wax it.
you dont. you need to dry out the area first Answer: It's true that paint must be dried before you apply another coat. It's also true that you must clean off (remove) any pealing paint prior to painting. If you don't you won't have very good results.
it doesn't means clear
Use a straight enamel the wet sand it with 600 grit for hour and hours and hours and repeat for coat 2 clear coat can not be painted on with brush unless you a magic paint brush lol clear over clear does not work
I don't know about clear coat, but ferrari 's have 21 coats of paint, 14 primer and 7 paint.
