Sounds like you may either have a bad O2 sensor or faulty fuel injector. If you're getting black smoke, you've got too much fuel in the system. Also, check your air filter. Sometimes it's the obvious things that get overlooked.

300zx twin turbo lots of black smoke and running rough
Black smoke is caused by excessive fuel in the engine
Runs bad how? Black smoke....rough running?...check the water temperature sensor (if hard starting when cold outside and instead of idling high as usual, goes right to low idle), and O2 sensor (if black smoke). Possible you have a loose injector (Throttle body) or failing fuel pressure regulator (if flooding out). Many things are possible. Weird idle? Check for vacuum tube leaks. If rough idle, can sometimes be the EGR valve. Get a Haynes manual, and debug.
A miss, black smoke and a strong gas smell. Also, bad acceleration, rough idling, and stalling.
sound like bad rings It doesn't sound like bad rings, if it was burning oil the smoke would be blue. Black smoke sounds like it's running too rich, that would explain the running rough, stalling and lack of power, it's getting more fuel than it can burn.
sounds like a stuck fuel injector
It's running too rich.
It is not meant to smoke. It is running properly if there is no black smoke. It is not meant to smoke. It is running properly if there is no black smoke.

The vehicle will run rough at idle, poor throttle response, black smoke out of the taile pipe, and an illuminated check engine light.
Black smoke from the exhaust and rough idling are two of the more common problems. The egr valve can be removed and cleaned on most vehicles
