Waterpump would not cause this. Definitely a blown head gasket but be sure to change the water pump while you're in there or you'll have to do all that labor again in a few months. I know from experience. Get free online repair manual at autozone.com to help ya do it. Goodluck i beg to differ the water pumps on the quad 4's are known to be unreliable, and they do leek coolant into the oil when they break because it comes in around the shaft that powers the oil pump this is not an arguable point i have been working on quad fours for a while and i have seen many instances of this the water pumps on the twin cam engines are better but they still have the same problem they just last longer
white smoke from coolant usually indicates oil in coolant, this usually means a blown headgasket
Low coolant, stuck thermostat, blown headgasket (from overheating BEFORE) or a damaged (rusted) water pump.
prolly a blown headgasket or results of a preexhisting headgasket problem. if your headgasket isn't blown or you fixed it before drain the contents and add more oil.
As with any car, low coolant will cause this car to overheat. Common areas of coolant lose are the water pump or intake manifold gaskets. If the coolant is full, then another common problem is blown headgaskets- especially the rear head. A blown headgasket introduced compression into the cooling system causing air pocket / bubbles. This will cause an overheat.- TechJK -----------------------------------------------------------
blown head gasket
Blown headgasket or an idiot pouring oil in the wrong hole.
No coolant in the system, failed thermostat, failed water pump, leaky headgasket.
there is water in the oil most likely from a blown head gasket or cracked head. Check the coolant level when cold to see if it is low.AnswerYou have water or anti-freeze in the oil. The most common cause is a blown headgasket.
it is possible for heat from combustion to cause an engine to overheat quickly depending on where the gasket is blown, but i would look for a lack of coolant circulation first. if your coolant is not getting out of the motor and into the radiator it will overheat very quickly.
Cracked Head Cracked block Blown headgasket Failed oil cooler (water over type)
Not to scare you but white smoke usally means coolant is getting into the combustion chambers, if this is the case you may have a blown head gasket. Have you overheated your car recently? If so cracked head or blown headgasket would be a probably cause.
No. It would cause the coolant and oil to mix and it would look like a Milkshake drain oild and check it.
