Check the A/C compressor.
behind glovebox in side of evaporator it has a 2 pin connector.
A 2000 Honda Civic should have a standard AC system. To completely install a new system it will need a condenser, evaporator, compressor, and all the necessary hard-lines. Then the system will need to be routed correctly on the engine and wired into the ECU.
No. The condenser fan is for the A/C(right side). The radiator fan is on the left.
If you're talking electrically yes. Just look for a clip with 2 wires on the condenser frame and disconnect that. That will keep the condenser motor from trying to run. Just make sure you turn off your ac when you stop. It will build up too much pressure and blow your ac. When you're driving it works just fine though. I drive a 97 civic dx though. It worked on that gen.
Inside the evaporator case which is behind the glovebox
Yes, all condensers from '92-'00 civics are interchangeable.
The AC receiver drier on a 1995 Honda Civic is on the high-pressure side of the system. It is between the expansion valve inlet and condenser outlet.
When you find it faulty and need to be replaced
Check evaporator for dirt accumulation and have evacuated and charged by a professional
I got them replaced at Jiffy Lube. Thank you.
Condenser drain tube. It allows the condensation from inside the system to drain out.
According to Honda's website the standard Civic models did not start using a timing chain until 2006 with the exception of the SI models which were a different engine and have always had a timing chain. But PRIOR to 2006 all the other civic models had timing belts (which have to be replaced to be replaced periodically).
