Have a fuel pump pressure test done, it may be boarder line. Has there been a check engine light coming on?

Have the codes read, they may lead you to the problem.
Major tune up time. Replace plugs and filters and do a valve job. Make sure the carbs are synched. If this fails to improve things, get your carbs worked on.
Have you checked that the coil packs are all plugged in? Replace your spark plugs? Heck I would replace the plugs just to rule them out as the fault. I would need a little more information to answer this fully.

have you checked the fuse if so then you will need to replace the resistor for the blower hig and low dettings have you checked the fuse do you have 12 volts to blower if so then you will need to replace the resistor for the blower replace the blower motor

My 97 Saab was sluggish and after checking all the obvious areas, turned out I needed to replace the accelerator cable (have over 230,000 miles). Part was about $90 and labor was about $70.
The backfiring may be due to intake manifold vacuum leak. Check the torque on the bolts and also check/replace the gasket.
all wires run to the fuse box. if you have already checked the fuse you need a new lighter. i too had to replace mine recently. LIke already said trace wires to the fuse box or take the wire out and replace that might be the problem also. it may not wven be the lighter i have checked the fuse and it is good i am not able to use anything on it like phone charger.
the vehicle needa a new voltage regulater,this should have been checked before battery and alternator as its the cheapest part to replace
If it is a diesel it is the lift pump, replace it before it takes out the injection pump. If it is a gasser replace it with a diesel. check the cat converter
Pull out slightly on the headlight switch. If the fog lights do not respond you need to replace the switch.
Intake manifold gasket may be leaking - check for loose bolts or replace fasket.
