check engine is an emissions component fault, and is not related to your spark plugs...get the codes checked and replace faulty sensor... read up on diagnosis.. Everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the local library should have a professional shop manual available to make copies of for FREE...make the time to take time to read up on your vehicle, and work like the PRO'S! Good luck :) Dave Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) do NOT mean a sensor is faulty! They much more represent readings from a sensor that is out of normal range.
Research the DTC codes to find out the cause of the readings, before rushing out to buy new sensors.
From the guy who has perfectly good O2 sensors, Throttle position sensors, etc sitting in the salvage box.
