The Crankshaft Position sensor is mounted on the bottom right side of the crankshaft pulley, mounted on the timing chain cover. Only 2 bolts hold it in place and has a 4 wire connector plugged into the sensor.
Hope this helps
behind the harmonic balancer pulley, i believe.
Is there a certain way to postition the crank sensor on a 97 k1500?
where is the crank sensor located on my 1997 Chrysler sebring lxi
This has happened on my 97 twice- it was the fuel pressure regulator.
The crank sensor is an important part of the engine wiring. Without it the engine does not know when to fire. There is no way to by pass it.
yes there is but i am unsure of where it sits on the engine. i am unable to get spark to my plugs and most people have told me the problem is the crank sensor.
The crank sensor is on the block between the oil filter and the starter tucked up under the frnt motor mount
THE CRANK SENSOR ON A 97 5.7 IS LOCATED UNDER THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BETWEEN THE PULLEY AND THE OILPAN. SLIGHTLY TO DRIVERS SIDE
IS this a 5.2, if so the crank sensor is on the passenger side of the engine, in the far rear, it picks up off the flywheel, the cam sensor is located inside the distributor (it is the pick up coil).
Check your crank shaft sensor. Had the same problem, replaced crank shaft sensor and fixed the problem.
It is located on the timing chain cover.
on the 2.4 its to the left of the starter above the oil filter
