My first thought is that it could be the fuel filter or even the hall pick-up. UPDATED ANSWER: Most likely and (thankfully) an easy fix is your idle air control valve. If you're like me, you most likely give it a little gas when you start it, which opens the throttle, allowing air into the engine. As soon as you let off the gas and the throttle closes, your engine has to rely on the idle air control (IAC) valve on the back of the throttle body for air. If this valve is faulty or simply clogged, it's probably behind your stalls. First try to clean it with normal carb & choke cleaner and a SOFT nylon flexible brush. The IAC valve is very easy to damage. After removing the air filter housing, the IAC valve will be in the rear center of the throttle body. If cleaning doesn't fix the problem, a replacement can be had at most auto parts stores for around $50 - $75. Obviously not cheap, so DON'T break it if it isn't already broken. Hope this helps :)
shutdown -r now
That will depend on what damage was done. A good mechanic can tell you whether it is safe to start or needs to be towed.
a mechanic told me it could be the neutral security switch on the clutch if it is a straight drive
as far as gmc is concerned.. there isn't one. gm mechanic told me that yesterday when i asked the location of the switch...

Check a walkthrough to make sure you actually have completed it. If you still have problems, you probably should restart the island by pressing the "restart island" button in the bottom left of the map screen.
If the check engine light is or has illuminated, have it scanned for codes. They may help find the cause.
