97 k1500 driving down the road truck stoped runningfound a broken roter replaced roter but still wont start got gas and spark to the plugs any ideas?

Just a thought. If the rotor broke, could it have caught in the cap and turned your distributor and put the engine out of timing? Check the condition of the cap and the contacts inside it,\.
