Parasitic drain or other electrical problem
Voltage Regulator?
Have it scanned to determine problem
Check the alternator. If the voltage is too high it will overcharge the battery and destroy it. If the voltage is too low the battery will discharge and could be mistaken for a destroyed battery.
check the battery voltage, check battery cables, check ignition switch(where you turn the key), or check the crankshaft position sensor. cheers
In my case I have a 1999 SL1 and the clicking sounds where the relays for the electric door locks. I removed them and I have not have the battery drained. I have not replaced them yet.
you can use any brand, but it has to be the right size for your car.any place that sells batteries will have an application chart that will list what you need
Shouldn't have to add anything unless the charging system is overcharging the battery. Some batteries are sealed and you can't add if you wanted to. If you think that the battery acid level is lower than it should be have the system tested for problems.
It's not the Battery, Saturn has a problem with there Ignition cylinders. It will need to be replaced. the Dealer charges about $400.00 but you can do it yourself for about $70.00 in parts. The easiest way for you to do it , is get a Manuel or go to youtube.com and watch a video. It took me about thirty minutes.
Interesting?? I had my starter and battery replaced on my 2002 Saturn VUE and within a few months my low beams ands daytime running lights went out. Dealer says the post in the fuse block is burnt and the entire block needs to be replaced at a cost of over $600.
Have you replaced your air filter lately? If not, try that, reset the computer by unplugging the battery and see if it clears the code.
The battery in the Saturn Vue is located under the hood on the driver's side, near the front of the car.
what does a low battery light look like on a 2001 Saturn
