Maybe the headlight motor is wired backwards.
All you have to do is reach up under the bumper and there is a bracket on the back of the light that you push up and the headlight goes down.
I had the same problem, and I I looked and posted on the corvette forum without much luck... however I Just fixed this same issue on my 1990... What I did to fix was to unbolt (not remove) the electric motor on the side I just replaced the bushings in and turn the motor 180 degrees in place, then bolted it back up.. Now the headlights are working correctly.
probably bad headlight switch, the break light wires run through the headlight switch
underneath the steering column should be a knob that goes vertically up and down, if its down then the headlights will stay up by shutting the vacuum and if its up then the headlights will go down automatically when the light knob is pushed in.
Lambo Aventador could kill the Corvette the Corvette only goes 330kph but Lambo Aventador goes 370.
Look to the back of the headlight assembly. There will be a round sleeve where the wiring goes into the headlight. Twist this counterclockwise to turn the head light bulb assembly. Pull back on the assembly to remove it from the headlight casing. Replace with new headlight bulb.
A CORVETTE 1988 goes up to about 180
this is easy to fix,in the headlight motor where the horizontal shaft goes in ,there is a round cover held by 2 screws, under this cover is the main motor gear.on one side of this gear there are 3 round recesses for 3 gel like bushes when they are badly worn the main gear cannot get a proper grip and the shaft dos'ent have enought torque to flip the weight of the head light.it works when the hood is up because of the angle of the headlight gravity helps it swing round and lock.if you take off the 2 screw cover you will find bits of worn bushes and dust.you need a"headlamp motor repair kit"i got mine for 6 0r 8 dollars(nice and cheap thank god)from a "corvette america"catalog from"corvette america.com"they don't list the kit on their website but it is in the catalog(page398 part No30523)pop the new bushes in and your headlight/s will work like new.by the way you need 2 kits if both headlight motors are knackered.hope this saves you any more grief .brian.p.
could someone please tell me how to remove the front headlight unit from a Mazda 6.? the light housing where the bulb goes is loose causing my light alighnment to be off and i cannot get my hand in from behind to try to fix it.
Pop hood, unscrew single screw on top of headlight next to parking light, pull parking light out (straight away from front of vehicle). Be careful when pulling out headlight not to apply force on back side of part where screw goes as it can snap off.
Check your headlight switch. Sometimes the switch goes bad and the dash lights won't light. Replace the switch for the fix.
Gasoline or oil usually goes into a motor.
