A mechanic told me the fuse box was under the hood of my 1994 Chevrolet Truck Z71 but there is no fuse box there.?

There is one located on the bottom front of the dash to the left of the stearing wheel. You will see a small panel with a place to put your fingers..pull it out. not many fuses there though..one would think there would be more. Only thing under the hood is on the passenger side firewall . There is a cover under it is some lugs for wire connections and a couple relays or sumthin. I will let you know if I find another fuse box.
