Is this cervical treatment? If so then I have had similar treatment and my period continued to be regular apart from I had brown discharge. However I asked my Doctor and he said the brown discharge is just hormones-not related to the treatment. If in doubt call the NHS phone line(number is in the phone book) if you feel uneasy asking your doctor.Otherwise ask your doctor or GP nurse.
It is any treatment using a laparascope. Unless you had something other than the scope used (which is just for looking) it should come when it normally would. The surgeon or your GYN will have more information and should have discussed with you what to expect before hand.

Periods show that you are capable of reproducing. No period, no children. You don't have to have a period if you don't plan on having any kids. Having the ovaries removed I believe stops the period.
