Read your owner's manual. Severe engine damage will occur if the belt breaks. Don't have an owner's manual, change it at 80,000 miles. Also replace the water pump at the same time as the belt. Most new belts are good for about 90,000 miles. Older Civics should be changed out at 60,000 miles with the new and improved belts now being produced. Make sure to replace the water pump at the same time as well. It will vary obviously. I changed mine at 125,000 miles
It has a timing chain that should last the life of the engine.
Around 80-100 thousand miles
80k-90k miles They go for about 150,000 but its safe to change it around 100k
If it is a 4 cylinder it uses a chain and not a belt. No maintenance is required and the chain should last the life of the engine. If it is a V6 you must change the belt every 110,000 miles.
If you have a big family a sedan. If you want something sporty and small a coupe. For both check out honda's.
