You probably have a DC-4 Skymaster red stamp, either Scott number C-39, C-40 or C-41. It has minimal value. Find an online catalog, I'd suggest Mystic Stamps and look at the airmail stamps. I've linked the appropriate page below.
There were not stamps in 1803. The date must be referencing something about Robert Emmet. Stamps were not available until 1840.
A postage stamp isn't 'dated.' If it has dates on it, they typically reflect something to do with the history of the what is pictured on the stamp. And stamps can be used at any time.
Revenue stamps are part of a group called "Back of the Book" stamps. They will be found in the 'back of the book' or the back of the catalog for US stamps. The US Specialized catalog will list it, as will most of the other US catalogs. You can usually find a copy at your local library. It will also tell you when it was used and how it was printed among other information.
If someone writes 4 bad checks that were post dated what charges would they be facing in this situation.
Not a lot, you can buy one for around 15 to 25 cents if it is in very good shape. If it is torn it is pretty much worthless.
It depends on if the coin is a Barber or Mercury Head dime, both are dated 1916. Also if it has any mintmarks and the condition of the coin. The Mercury Head design has Miss Liberty facing the left, the Barber is facing to the right. Post new question.

As early as late 1935, the General Brewing Company of San Francisco stamped their beer as age dated to show that the beer was properly brewed. More and more brewers since then have put these stamps on their beer, although it is not required by law in the United States. I am fairly sure that expiry dates for food and other things stemmed from the age date stamps.
As of today 2-8-11 it's worth about $30.00
True silver dollars were minted from 1794 to 1935. Dollars from 1794 - 1804 all have heads facing to the right as you look at the coin. Dollars dated after that have heads facing to the left. For a head to face contrary to this pattern would mean that it's counterfeit. The way a coin is designed and struck by the mint would preclude a genuine dollar with the head facing backwards. So the answer is no.
