spectroscope
you shouldn't even be on this site if you are looking for this question. get up and go look for the answer. ^ idiot, the answer is spectroscope.
The simplest instrument would be a prism. However, a "spectograph" is a word used to represent several different types of machines, usually used to separate incoming waves (such as light waves) into a frequency spectrum. A spectograph is sometimes called a "polychromator."
Colors enter the world by the sun. The rays are made of different colors but they have different tempetures so when they enter the world, they have different colors for different things.
A prism can be used for splitting light into its constituent colors, but scientists tend to use a more precise instrument called a spectrograph.

I believe its called the spectrum though i may be wrong
The name of the rainbow colours produced from a white light is called the spectrum.
You use a special dye to color it. Some people use different colors to dye their flute and it turns different colors. Sometimes it is spray paint but that is very bad for the instrument.
White light doesn't produce different colors. The only way to make white light is tocombine light with all of the different colors. So if you already have white light, allof the colors are already there. You only have to separate them in order to see them.
different chemicals and different temperatures like the blue ones are the coolest but the red, white, gold are the hottest
