I am a muslim, and i got to tell you.
Some animals are forbidden in Islam to enter in you're house, cats are acceptable but dogs are forbidden because of it's salavia it's unclean, and because muslims pray in their house and when pray it's haram to have a dog in the house.
You CAN have a dog but you cannot let it in you're house, that's all.
