i was given floroxitine (sorry for bad spelling) a form of Prozac for eating disorders- it helped level my moods so i was less likely to act on something, or be triggered. it is especially given for bulimia because it supresses apetite leading to less binging and purging.

∙ 13y agoYes. Higher doses, e.g., 80mg, have been shown to help in the treatment of bulimia nervosa. Some anorexics have also been helped by Prozac, but because of it's potentially appetite-suppressant effect, it must be used with caution if at all in anorexic patients.
