Yes
No, they must comply with the emissions regulations that apply to vehicles made in 1979.
Most states have exemptions for classic cars from smog regulations since none of them were designed with modern regulations in mind. In California which is typically the most stringent for smog regulations, 1965 Mustangs are exempt from smog checks.
It's pretty safe to assume all pre-1975 cars are smog exempt.
Should be now. Last i looked cars over 25 years old are exempt. Wrong own a 1977 and just had to smog it. 1975 and before are smog exempt
No, the DMV rule is vehicles 1975 an older now... I own a 1976 econoline 350.
This depends on where you live Where I am yes it exempt now
No, its not exempt. There were differences with the GVWR that the heavier models didn't have a smog pump while the light duty F-250's did have them. Effective 04/01/05: All vehicles 1976 and newer vehicles will be tested according to state emission law. This law repeals the 30-year rolling exemption.
In CT USA it is exempt.

No, after the first 3 years of a car it needs to be smogged to register the car. I think the only exception to this is hybrid models. I have a hybrid that is 6 years old and never had been required to have a smog done.
NO, Atleast not in california. Gov. Arhold put a stop to this in 2005 i believe... so only 1975 and earlier cars are smog exempt
