No, definately not. There are many differences, but the biggest is that Mormons believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah and Jews do not.
They do have some similarities, mostly stemming from their shared belief in the Old Testament books. Mormons put more emphasis on the Old Testament than most Christian churches, which can make them more similar to Jews on some issues.
Additionally, there are about the same number of Mormons as there are Jews worldwide (about 14 million).
