From my personal experience I would say, "No". They are friendly and usually like almost everyone. I would not use this breed to guard my personal property as they are not barkers or growlers. They are also not meant to be left alone for extended periods. It isn't in their nature to be aggressive if you are looking for that in a dog.
Yes, very much so. (source info - see LINK listed below)

Bull Mastiffs are very good guard dogs and are excellent with families.
Portuguese Water Dogs produced by a knowledgeable breeder tend to cost between $1800-$2400. While this might appear to be pricey, good breeders have invested much time and study into producing dogs of correct type and good temperament. They also will be eager to discuss health testing. Better breeders show their dogs at AKC shows. Good sources for finding a reliable PWD breeder include the AKC website (which maintains a listing of available puppies--note that some breeders are member of the national breed club, the PWDCA). You should also contact local vets as well as attend local dog shows.
my golden retriever was a great swimmer and its great exercise, also, water dogs are very cute and good swimmers.
Dogs normally drink water, but puppies drink milktoo.
Absolutely - great dogs who are enormously loyal & faithful to their owners and will protect their territory wisely!!!! They only catch is they are short haired dogs so they can't be left out during the winter for long periods of time
German Shepherds are the most famous police dogs. They have a great personality, and also they have sharp teeth to attack their victims. They also have a good sense of smelling to see who did the crime, also they are really good at guarding. That's why today they are called watch dogs. Mostly you will see police officers with German Shepherds, that means most likely that they would rather choose these dogs all of these reasons.
Guard dogs are specifically trained to protect visually impaired or handicapped people. For example: The dogs must cross an intersection with six driving lanes. These dogs are usually labs or golden retrievers. These dogs are typically expensive. Regularly they are $60,000 and up. It depends on the age or if it is fantastic shape.
Well other than their both fiercely loyal and good guarding dogs, and that they share the same markings and colour nothing. Two completely different breeds.
yes
The Portuguese Podengo is happy, cheerful, and good-natured. They are loyal and extremely devoted. This breed is good with older considerate children and friendly toward strangers. Portuguese Podengo's generally get along well with other dogs. Although congenial, they make an excellent watchdog and will alert their family by barking. Due to their primitive nature, this breed is not recommended for first time dog owners.
