Varna refers to the relationship between our positive and negative attitudes.

Varnas are often believed to be based on occupations. However, this is not true and the matter is more complicated. Varnas are a part of Hinduism and represent the four social classes. These are: Shudras, Vaishyas, Kshatriyas, and Brahmanas. Varnas have nothing to do with occupations because a change of occupation wouldn't affect a Hindu's Varna.

What does Varnas mean?

According to the Vedas, there were four main Varnas, or social divisions, in Aryan society. These varnas were: Brahmins, or priests Kshatriyas, or rulers and warriors Vaisyas, or farmers, craftspeople, and traders Sudras, or laborers and non-Aryans The Brahmins were seen as the highest ranking because they performed rituals for the gods.
