∙ 13y agoThey really aren't directly related, as domestic cats and Bobcats are in different genus, but still fall under the family Felidae and subfamily Felinae. Domestic cats are in the genus Felis along with six other species of cat, whereas Bobcats fall under the genus Lynx along with the Canadian Lynx, Eurasian Lynx and the Iberian Lynx.
