The person who originally answered the question has confused gluten with gelatine. Gelatine is derived from animals, so is not suitable for vegetarians. Gluten is the protein in wheat, so is suitable for vegetarians. Quality Street chocolates are vegetarian. ORIGINAL ANSWER: Of corse. Vegetarians protested to get gluten out of chocolate and it works. All chocolate is vegetarian. But not all sweets Haribo's have gluten in them. > Not all chocolate is vegetarian. For example I rang Nestle (29/10/09) and they told me that currently none of the chocolates in Celebrations are suitable. Chocolates may be vegetarian at one point and then not at another - so you should check every few months or at least every 6 mths. Nestle have a free from list on their website but I am not sure how often it is updated. I am going to ring Nestle again about Quality street and will then update this asap. < SORRY FOR THE DELAY. RANG NESTLE - YES QUALITY STREET CHOCOLATES ARE SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS (18/11/09)
yes
