I do not think that they are happy in the true sense of the word. They may get satisfaction from their obusive behaviour, but happy, no I do not think so. In fact I believe they feel some remorse in what they have done. Abusive behaviour is like any illness, there is a cure.

emotional abusers... well the truth is they are insucre in themselves, e.g when your feeling down and uve had the worst day ever... when someone you see is happy makes you want to be/feel like them, then your feelings turn to jealousy, see emotional abusers are jeous, they are angry of the fact that they are not truly happy in themselves, and they would do anything in their power to make someone feel as low as them. in a way you gotta feel sorry for them, being alone and actually having to make someone feel as sad as them. even someone soo close to them, they are very jelous and it gets back to your question, "are they capable of caring?" well, to be honest, somewhere deep inside they probably do care but they are bullies and their outof control emotions are taking over.

Get into batterer counseling (even if its verbal/ emotional abuse) ASAP (NO Anger Management - that does NOTHING for abusers)
