Crop plants are those planted for their food value (normally on farms) eg. wheat, cabbage, potato's carrots, sunflowers etc.

"Plants" other than crop plants are normally plants grown for their ornamental value in gardening or landscaping

No, fruits come from plants. Fruits are the part of plants which contains seed and glucose. Plants are macroorganisms of the Kingdom Plantae which are autotrophs.

If the fruit is separated from the plant, the fruit will rot because fruits aren't living organisms.
