I use numerous vitamins and herbs, but both if not taken in the proper amounts can be dangerous. They can interact with each other, with prescription medication, and with your system if you have Allergies that could be triggered by the herb.

Vitamin and herb therapy is extremely vital to good health, but you must do your homework and take what is appropriate for you. Also, vitamins and herbal medications can contain additional ingredients, this must be considered as you may have a overabundance of certain vitamins and herbs when you actually read the label and add them all together, i.e. calcium may also contain Vitamin D so if you are taking Vitamin D you would need to calabrate how much total Vitamin D you would actually taking. Some vitamins are water soluable and therefore create no problem when taken in high levels, other vitamins are fat soluable and do not flush out of your system as you urinate as with water soluable vitamins and therefore can cause liver damage as they are stored there.

I certainly do not want to scare you from taking vitamins and herbs but take your time and study the side effects of each and work from there. A health food store should be helpful when looking for these products as they are trained in answering your needs.
