Desktops are cheaper than laptops and are more powerful. But laptops are portable.
Net-books are cheaper than laptops because they don't have as much memory or hard drive as a laptop does, the space is very limited. Everything Runs slower and somethings don't function quite as well as they would on a laptop...

The phrase 'laptop computers at a low price' is referring to the fact that the laptops are cheaper than most. This may be due to a sale, deal or the laptops might just be cheaper in the first place.
No. Toshiba usually has cheaper than average computers; computers selling for $999 can have the same specs as a Toshiba computer for $899. Toshiba has a laptop for every purpose, while Sony has specialized super-quality computers, but they are more expensive.
Compaq laptops are generally cheaper than some of the other brands out there. But as with any thing it depends on what features are installed on the actual cost of any computer.
It all really depends what is on the computer. If the computer is just really basic then yes it will be cheaper but if it has a lot of stuff on it then no it will still be costly.
Cheaper laptops often have what is called integrated graphics. This is cheaper than having a separate graphics card, but has worse performance. If you pay enough, you can get a laptop that is just as good as a desktop, but remember it costs more to make the parts small enough to fit inside a laptop, so it will be more expensive than the equivalent desktop.
It seems that with advances in wireless technology and overall computer design, Laptops have become more popular. My experience has shown me that more and more businesses are providing their employees with laptops, to allow for flexibility. Desktops are cheaper and will offer more for your dollar, in terms of hardware.
Netbooks are cheaper than laptops, but if you want quality out of your hardware, look somewhere else. A netbook will usually run your wallet about 3/4 of the price of a laptop but will have significantly lowered specs.
Well, for one thing, laptops are basically computers. They can compute like, what I'm guessing you're referring to, desktop computers. However, Desktop computers are actually cheaper to own that laptops, if you look at a comparison of price to performance. So in a sense, you get more bang for your buck with desktop computers as compared to laptops. If you're looking at matinence costs, etc., then it would still be cheaper to own a desktop pc. Laptops have a much higher chance of getting broken that desktop computers, and of course, data theft is a large problem with laptops if you accidentally leave yours in an airport or other public place.
Sometimes the brand's website will have PC laptops cheaper than a brick and mortar store. They may have a promo code that you can use to cut the costs. Online they cut out the middle man to also cut costs to you.
