Most Everything at McDonald's is precooked to a degree... Grilled chicken is precooked, flash frozen, then cooked on the flat griddle... It's only kept for a couple hours at a time though... At my McDonald's anyway... It sells quick and is generally freshly cooked...
Yes take it from me I worked there. We have a freezer next to the grill, we grab a stack (that are frozen together) pound the pucks against the grill to separate them and then we press two buttons at the same time so the burger cooks on both sides at the same time.
Yes I have! There is a small one near eye green! They were doing it to order!
Additional answer:
All special orders are 'cooked to order'.
For example ordering a hamburger without mustard or big mac with extra sauce or without onions would require them to cook it when it was ordered.
Also, ordering french fries 'without salt' will force them to cook the fries fresh to order, you can than add your own salt when you receive them.
No. The meat is shipped to McDonald's frozen and the burgers are grilled in small batches (i.e 8 regular meat, 4 quarter meat, 3 Angus meat at a time) at the individual stores.
Till it needs to be used again, or gets frost bitten.
The meat is cooked in the factory and then frozen. McDonalds heats it back up on a grill.
The thing if cooked frozen is that thing you cooked frozen.
no providing it is cooked properly
No you can't freeze cooked burgers, as they are cooked and the molecular activity within the proteins, cause the bacteria to increase rapidly, to billions. Which could potentialy be hazardous and may kill you, or may even eat you, like giant monster burgers.
After being defrosted, frozen foods must be cooked before being re-frozen.
Yes, if it wasn't already frozen and thawed.
Food which has been cooked can be frozen, even if it was frozen prior to cooking. BUT Frozen food which has been thawed, but not cooked, should never be re-frozen. Nor should food which was cooked, frozen and thawed.
frozen pizza is a normal pizza, frozen before it is cooked so you can eat it fresh whenever you want to.
Yes, but I would use it (after thawing of course) within one month for quality.
No they can not ! not any food that have been defrosted can be re-frosted because of Bactria and germs !If they've been kept refrigerated and well sealed they can be refrozen.
Yes it can be frozen but should always be defrosted thoroughly before cooking.
