If same year and same engine, yes.
Mitsubishi eclipse and Eagle Talon of the same year.
Yes it will work the Mitsubishi eclipse, eagle talon and the Plymouth laser are all technically the same car with just a couple trim differences all the parts are interchangeable between them.
Laser, yes. Neon, no.Laser, yes. Neon, no.

take off serpentine belt and unbolt alternator
Raise the hood and look for the drive belt. The drive belt powers the alternator.
There isn't a 1997 Plymouth Laser they stopped making them in 94 but if you have a 97 dsm (talon or eclipse) it should be on the right hand side of the engine block Here's a diagram for it http://members.shaw.ca/dsm.1000q/Engineprimer/2G/alt.htm
right below ur timing belt
I know for sure EAGLE TALON And Plymouth Laser had the same 2.0 motor..Ive owned one of each.
Yes its at a dealer or a parts store
chances are it's the voltage regulatorit could also be a wire no connected on the alternator
On the 1993 Eagle Talon 1.8 liter 4-cylinder, the voltage regulator is bolted in the alternator housing. Open the hood and look on in the front engine area on the passenger side.
