According to Jesus Christ, who: "...sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John: who bare record of the Word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all the things he saw..." (Rev.1:1-2) --

...the "serpent and Satan" are indeed the same:

"...that OLD SERPENT, called the Devil, and SATAN, which deceiveth the whole world..." (Rev.12:9).

According to the prophecy of Revelation... this "old serpent"... "Satan"... the "Dragon": will pursue and persecute another "woman" [the Church of God] one last time in the coming Great Tribulation before Jesus returns.

"...when the Dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time [three-and-a-half years], from the FACE OF THE SERPENT.

"And THE SERPENT cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the Dragon cast out of his mouth. And the Dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the Commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." (Rev.12:13-17) [see also the "fifth seal" of Revelation 6, which is the coming Great Tribulation. It's described in greater detail by Jesus in Matt.24:9-28]

The Dragon, that Old Serpent, called the Devil, and Satan... are the same being.

"And he laid hold on the Dragon, that OLD SERPENT, WHICH IS THE DEVIL, AND SATAN, and bound him a thousand years..." (Rev.20:2).

"... and when the thousand years are expired, SATAN shall be loosed out of his prison..." (verse 7).

No, they are not the same. The serpent in the Garden of Eden was a talking snake, a common motif in myth through the ancient Near East, and a relic of earlier animistic beliefs. And remember that modern Christians do not expect to see a talking snake every time they feel tempted.

Satan did not enter Jewish belief until the time of the Babylonian Exile, and therefore no book of The Bible written before the time of the Exile contains any reference to Satan. Satan became associated with the serpent in the first-century Christian Book of Revelation.

Was there a serpent in Garden of Gethsemane?

The Bible mentions a serpent in the Garden of Eden but not in the Garden of Gethsemane. Gethsemane was where Jesus was praying shortly before he was arrested. Many believe that Satan's hour is 3am. There are many personal beliefs that I have to believe that Jesus was literally fighting off Satan's temptations to join his evil plan and make the Son of God disobey and sin against His father. The Bible says that Jesus was sweating blood and that the disciples couldn't stay awake. The Bible also says that Jesus prayed for an hour (let's say 3am) came to check on them and prayed for another hour before he was led away by Judas and the officers that arrested him. Around this hour the cock crowed which a rooster would normally crow right before the sun comes up. Many people ask why Jesus was praying and that He wanted to get out of dying on the cross for all mankind's sin, but my personal belief is that He was spiritually fighting off Satan and all his demons at this point in time therefore there was a serpent in the garden of gethsemane; the same serpent that was in the garden of eden, Satan himself.

Is the Garden of Eden the same as the Garden of Aden?

Why is the serpent associated with evil?

The Bible associates the serpent in Eden with knowledge of good and evil, but the serpent in Numbers 21 is associated with healing. The serpent in Matthew 10:16 is Wisdom. In Genesis 49:17 the serpent is someone who attacks horses. In Exodus 7:9, God uses serpents to confound Pharaoh.Proverbs 30:18-19 declares that the way of a serpent on a rock is "too wonderful for me". In Mark 16:18 they are the mark of God's chosen and the proof that God sent them. In John 3:14 the serpent is a type of Christ. The serpent, Leviathan, in Psalms 74:13-14 is associated with the sea and is defeated by Yahwe in exactly the same way, and using almost exactly the same words as Ba'al defeats the serpent Lotan (the Ugaritic rendering of "Leviathan") in the Ugaritic Ba'al epic.In Revelation 30, the serpent is declared to be Satan himself. So saying that the serpent is associated with evil is an oversimplification. Different symbolic language uses "serpent" for different meanings.AnswerThe serpent is associated with evil in Western cultures based on a Biblical story in which Satan took the form of the serpent to deceive Eve, and in others because of various myths where the main villain happens to be a snake. In many others, it is considered a force of good, and even as responsible for creation.

Why is Satan call in 'infernal serpent'?

Satan is called the infernal serpent because Infernal mean a deity or spirit relate to or with characteristics of hell,Or a nuisance. So that about answers it because the serpent part is meaning like a snake for example he is irritable and tiresome meaning he's a nuisance.(IMPROVEMENT)-the part i said about the infernal was right but he was called a serpent because he was first depicted as a snake or a dragon.

Were Cain and able born in the garden of eden?

No, if you read Genesis 3:22-Genesis 4:2,it becomes clear that the birth of Cain and Abel (likely born at the same time as twins), were born AFTER God drove Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden, because of their sin.

Good question.... i would think that jackets were invented at the same time as clothes were (which was in the garden on Eden after Adam and Eve sinned)

How did the serpent in the Garden of Eden talk to Adam and Eve?

A:Hard to say. The serpent's forked tongue should rule out speech. The serpent's miniscule brain should rule out meaningful speech. The lack of vocal chords and a suitable soundbox should rule out speech period. Perhaps the answer is provided by Leon R. Kass (The Beginning of Wisdom: Reading Genesis), who says that the Garden of Eden is a purely mythic place, and the story of Adam and Eve should not be regarded as literally true. Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that serpents were a common motif in ancient Near Eastern religions, so why not Judaism?Answer:Jesus reveals to us that the "serpent" was and is "a cherub" [angel] called Satan:"...the great Dragon... that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world..." (Rev.12:9)."...he laid hold on the Dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan..." (Rev.20:2).Throughout the Bible... angels are revealed to "speak."In Ezekiel's "lament" upon the king of Tyrus... he refers to him as "the anointed cherub that covereth" [Ezek.28:14]. A cherub [kar-oob] is one type of God's angels that Ezekiel describes from his vision:"Each of the cherubim had four faces: One face was that of a cherub [ox], the second the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fouth the face of an eagle." (Ezek.10:14 NIV)"These were the living creatures I had seen beneath the God of Israel by the Kebar River, and I realized that they were the cherubim [plural of cherub]. Each had four faces and four wings, and under their wings was what looked like the hands of a man. Their faces had the same appearance as those I had seen by the Kebar River. Each one went straight ahead. (verses 20-22)Was this what Adam and Eve saw... or did Satan speak to them through "that old serpent" as Balaam was addressed by God through the donkey [Num.22:28]?It could have gone either way, since the Bible [God's Truth - John 17:17] speaks of talking serpents and asses; plus, we have no problem recognizing "dragons" today as being "serpentine" in appearance. In any event... Jesus tells us that it wasn't a literal "snake" [as we think of it today] to whom Eve spoke, and was spoken to... but "...that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world...".Satan does talk."...the Lord said unto Satan... Then Satan answered the Lord..." (Job 1:7)."...the Devil taketh Him up into an exceeding high mountain... and saith unto Him..." (Matt.4:8-9)."...the Devil said unto Him... And Jesus answered him..." (Luke 4:3-4).
