Imagine you are slave. A person owned by another person and you are offered freedom. The reason so many slaves used the Underground Railroad to escape is because they wanted to be free. It was worth the risks. The people brought as slaves had lives, education, and were warriors in their worlds. Some would rather die than live as a slave.
