As of early March 2010, there are still outbreaks of H1N1 reported throughout Asia. According to the World Health Organization:
"In the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere, transmission of virus persists in some areas of Europe and Asia but influenza activity is declining and at low level in the most areas. The most active areas of transmission are currently observed in parts of Southeast Asia and East and South-eastern Europe. Recently, influenza type B is increasingly reported in Asia."
There is no information on if any of the Gosselin's have had H1N1.
I hope not Cara Madelyn you both try not to get it hopefully you both didn't and will not get or have H1N1 Either!
Yes. There is no longer a waiting period between when you get any influenza shot, including H1N1, and when you can give blood.
It is usually advised that you wait until any current infections, especially those producing fever, are resolved before you get any vaccination. It would be best to consult with your health care professional to find out if it is appropriate timing for you to take a vaccine with a current infection.
Yes. There has never been a vaccine made for a strain that was close enough to the current H1N1/09 pandemic flu to have allowed our immune systems to make antibodies that would be a good fit to the new flu. So, no prior vaccinations will have provided any protection for the pandemic swine flu. When you can get an H1N1/09 flu vaccination, you should go ahead and get one to be protected.
any where from $10-$30. sometimes schools do them for free.
The pandemic has been declared over but there are still outbreaks in limited locations world wide. The specifics and counts of cases are no longer being tracked by CDC, WHO, and most US states. Influenza cases are monitored but specific H1N1/09 counts aren't available separately from other influenza reporting any longer.

There have been people in every state of the US that have had H1N1/09 swine flu. There have also been cases in every country of the world in the 2009 pandemic. There may still be some isolated cases or outbreaks in limited locations around the world right now, including in Alaska. However, the specifics and counts of cases are no longer being tracked by CDC, WHO, and most US states now that the pandemic has been declared over. News on stocks in China can be found in pretty much any current events newspaper because the Chinese stock market is not doing the best it ever has before.

I know that the experts are saying that pets can't get the H1n1, however, this morning I when I went to let my cat outside the neighbors cat was lying dead on my porch. When I went to tell the neighbors I was informed that 2 of the family members had H1N1 and one of them was in the hospital. The cat did not appear to have had any injuries-no blood etc. It just makes me wonder.
