Yes, Tom Burke made a number of records. I have 7 on 78rpm, very worn but playable, Some as a light Tenor ( like Macormac) and later ones after he returned from Italy as a full blooded Operatic Tenor. His career ended in UK when, he failed to appear on a Royal Command Performance around 1934 and, so the storey goes, insulted the King.
He later worked in Russia and Australia. On returning to UK, he returned to Leigh, and the last I heard of him he was teaching singing in London in 1960-1964
He last sang in public in Liverpool at a concert he produced for his students around 1964. He also was interviewed on TV around this time.
